We've recently starting participating in Bountiful Baskets and as a result I've had to do some quick research on the best way to store fresh produce. First of all let me say that so far I'm very happy with Bountiful Baskets. The fruits and vegetables are extremely fresh and delicious and I've estimated that we're getting about $20-$25 worth of produce for $15. I've not yet ventured out and tried some of the other things they offer but I will. If it's available in your area I recommend you give them a try. Since we have a small family of 3, I end up with a lot more fresh produce than we can consume before it starts to go bad. Does anyone remember all the drama I went through last year while trying to get Baby Lock to stand behind their warranty on my 22 year old sewing machine? Before and After We had some friends staying with us this weekend so they could run in Color Me Rad here in Houston. In fact there was a total of 11 human bodies and one canine in my house over the weekend. I guess that might sound stressful to some people but it really doesn't phase me much at all. The only thing I'm concerned with is that everyone has a place to sleep and clean towels for the shower. Other than that I don't make any promises as far as feeding or entertaining. We just make it up as we go and it usually turns out to be a pretty fun time for everyone. This time we are driving from Houston to Tucson, AZ to visit with Jayson's family for a couple of days then we're all driving to Las Vegas for a couple more days before heading home. Jayson's parents are providing rooms for everyone at The Cosmopolitan in celebration of their 50th anniversary which is coming up next month. Our 25th anniversary is just 3 days after their 50th so we're pretending that this is our 25th anniversary celebration that we don't have to pay for. SCORE!! A couple of months ago I signed up to be a BzzAgent . This video explains how it works and what I received for my first BzzCampaign: I decided to make enchiladas with a side of black beans and rice. Here's how it turned out: I had never tried any Goya products before this campaign but I will definitely try more of them now. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good the rice was. You should just run to the store right now and pick some up then bring it home and eat the whole box. It's that good.

Yesterday I crossed off another item on my Houston to-do list. I finally visited the Archiver's store in Katy. I can sum up my experience in 6 words: What a colossal waste of time. I'm not a scrapbooker but I do like their supplies. I've always thought that Archiver's was THE place to shop for scrapbooking supplies but after visiting I've somewhat changed my opinion. Was the store huge? Yes it was, compared to your garden variety scrapbooking store. Did they have absolutely everything a scrapbooker could want? Well, I guess it depends on the scrapbooker. They had paper out the wazoo in every brand you could imagine. They had plenty of themed die cuts, stickers and accessories as well. They had lots of different types of albums, tools, rubberstamps and supplies but nothing really impressive.
